SAO PAULO: Kely said she feels hugged by the love and concerned supportive texts, direct messages and emails she receives daily.

Pele’s daughter Kely Nascimento says her father will be moved to a regular room after tumour admission on 31 August 2021.

Since 2015 following prostate surgery, the 80-year-old Brazilian football legend and three-time world cup winner’s health has been a concern in recent years.

He was again admitted for a urinary infection in 2019, well-wishes and prayers poured out to the football icon as fans and footballers wished him a speedy recovery.

In an Instagram post, Pele’s daughter Kely Nascimento shared the good news that her father will be moved to a regular room after tumour admission at Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo on 31 August 2021.

Kely said she feels hugged by the love and concerned supportive texts, direct messages and emails she receives daily.

“He is doing well post-surgery, he is not in pain and is in a good mood. He will move into a regular room in the next day or two and then go home,” she said.

“He is strong and stubborn with support and care of the brilliant team at Einstein and all of the love, energy and light that the world is sending. He will get through this!” added Pele’s daughter in the post.
