JOHANNESBURG: Mr Bala will be responsible for overseeing Umhlobo Wenene FM and Tru FM.

Musician and Television broadcaster Loyiso Bala has joined the South African Broadcasting Cooperation (SABC) as the Business Manager for the Eastern Cape public broadcasting radio stations. 

Mr Bala will be responsible for overseeing Umhlobo Wenene FM and Tru FM. 

Taking to social media, he announced the significant milestone with a caption: “Appointment Notice.” 

“While I had no access to Twitter because my account was hacked, this happened, SABC welcomes Mr Loyiso Bala, who is joining the public broadcaster as a business manager for the Eastern Cape Combo: responsible for overseeing Umhlobo Wenene FM and Tru FM,” he said. 

Bala is not new to the broadcasting world, in January 2019, he secured a top job as the channel director for one of the largest family and faith TV networks on the continent, TBN in Africa. 

He has also served on the board of the Southern African Music Rights Association, South African Music Performance Rights Organisation and as a member of the South African Cohesion Committee. 

The organisation chaired by the Minister of Arts and Culture comprising of influential leaders from different sectors.
