0 PIETERMARITZBURG: MaMkhize has refuted any claims that it is in trouble or seeks to sell its Premier Soccer League (PSL) status.
Shawn Mkhize, otherwise known as MaMkhize, a Royal AM president, has moved to silence rumours about the impending sale of her club that have been making rounds on social and other media.
The KwaZulu-Natal club, which is prone to hogging social media noise due to flamboyant lifestyles led by its management, has refuted any claims that it is in trouble or seeks to sell its Premier Soccer League (PSL) status.
“I would like to take this opportunity to state clearly that despite rumours and gossip that have been making rounds on social media, Royal AM is not for sale. We made a commitment with the people of Pietermaritzburg through our partnership with Msunduzi Municipality that we value, cherish and respect and we call all to rest assured that Royal AM is here to stay and prosper,” said Mkhize in a statement.
“I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you, be it in the stadium stands, team activation, charity event or anywhere football destiny leads us to,” she continues, “We still going to sing, shout, and dance along to the drumbeats in our new home Harry Gwala Stadium it is a priceless feeling.”
Royal AM, who are struggling to live up to their debut 2021/22 DSTV Premiership season in which they finished in the third position, are in the 14th position in the league table.
They have accumulated 11 points from 11 matches. Time will tell if there is any truth to the rumours surrounding the club at the moment.
