NEW YORK: The 24-year-old rapper just scored his second BET (Black Entertainment Television) hip-hop nomination.
It has been an incredible year for David Junior Ngcobo aka Nasty C who’s been constantly doing the unthinkable. He has added another achievement to his long list of 2021 accolades.
The 24-year-old rapper just scored his second BET (Black Entertainment Television) hip-hop nomination and he is nominated alongside a few heavyweight international acts.
Nasty C was one of the big winners at the Sama awards held earlier this year. The rapper walked with the best hip-hop album for his 2020 release, Zulu Man With Some Power.
His 20-track Zulu Man With Some Power album featured American rappers T.I, Lil Gotit, Lil Keed and R&B songstress Ari Lennox. He recently celebrated the 1 year anniversary of release of the album.
Earlier this year he made bigger waves and got re-introduced to the global market when he announced that he will be participating in TEAM Coca-Cola’s official song “Colorful” for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.
He is the only South African artist nominated in the category of Best International Flow.

He spoke about how he feels about awards in an interview with Chatspot (a Kenyan television show) and said awards don’t define him.
“I value them because they mean the world to my fans because my fans are the guys that sit at home and they watch the whole show, my fans are the ones that use their own airtime to vote for me and stuff like that,” he said.
The biggest night in hip hop is said to be happening on BET Tuesday, October 5, 2021,
