SOWETO: Sifama, promoted to the senior team late last year by then-coach Middendorp.
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed a transfer deadline move for one of their squad players, who moves to Maritzburg United until the end of the season.
Keletso Sifama, promoted to the senior team late last year by then-coach Ernst Middendorp will reunite with the coach at the Midlands club.
The 17-year-old has only featured in three matches in all competitions so far under Gavin Hunt and no doubt looks a prospect – but he needs game time.
Sifama also played in two games before Middendorp parted ways with Amakhosi at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Chiefs have been giving opportunities to a number of young players during this campaign, especially because of the two-window transfer ban, but striker Sifama wasn’t as lucky as his academy counterparts in that regard.
He will be hoping to help Maritzburg in their fight to avoid relegation with half of the campaign still to be played in the coming months.
