JOHANNESBURG: Every South Africa should be employed whether they have a degree or not.
This is the word from Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Mr Julius Malema. He was campaigning in Sebokeng on Tuesday ahead of the 2021 local government elections.
The polls are less than two months away and political parties are pulling out all the stops to be visible.
“Even when you don’t have a degree, you should have a job. Those who were hired by the ANC must show us their qualifications,” said Mr Malema.
The leader of the red berets said every South African deserves to be employed ethically adding that corrupt ways and connections must be rooted out.
This comes as South Africa’s unemployment rate increased from 32.4% to 32.6% in the first quarter of 2021, to 32.6%.
Meanwhile, Mr Malema reminded Sedibeng residents of the African National Congress (ANC) flaws and shortcomings.
“We need to use our brains. Stop thing of saying you come far with the ANC. The ANC is dead. It is only thieves that are left, you are even stealing food parcels,” he said.
“They give you Sassa [South African Social Security Agency] money, then they come back and demand money of water and electricity from you,” he continued.
