JOHANNESBURG: The rapper is currently working on a project we can all look forward to, like the upcoming Netflix Reality Show coming out next year.

South African rapper, songwriter, and television personality Nadia Nakai Kandava, well-known as the Bragga Queen, recently announced in an interview with the rapper Siyabonga ‘Slikour’ Metane that she has left Family Tree Records.

On the SlikourOnLife YouTube channel, the 31-year-old rapper stated, “[n]o I’m not with the tree. I am working on my own record label at the moment. It’s tricky because when I had the conversation with Cassper, I was so scared to talk to him.”

“In the beginning, I could feel that he was sad but he later messaged me and gave me some record label name ideas,” she said.

Family Tree Media is a South African independent record label, which was established in 2014 by the South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, and record producer Refiloe Maele Phoolo, professionally known as ‘Cassper Nyovest’.

The Bragga productions CEO also added, “Cassper and I are still good, but I think just like an artist trajectory I have to do my own thing and stand on my two feet.”

Nadia Nakai is currently working on a project we can all look forward to, like the upcoming Netflix Reality Show coming out next year. She is also presently not working on releasing any music.

“I’m not inspired to release any music soon,” she said.
